ARTicipation

I’ve decided to include “living an artful life” in my 30 Before 30 project.

What this simply means is that I am exerting more effort in the next year to find new sources of inspiration—from visiting new museums and galleries and checking out art exhibitions to interviewing artists, exploring new art mediums and revisiting old ones. It is basically an effort to always keep my mind and imagination engaged. :)

This page not only serves as an “inspiration well” but is also my way of keeping track of the activities I’ve done to uphold this resolution. :D

The Articipation Project

1. Checked out Pinto Art Gallery in Antipolo.

2. Checked out Aida Makoto’s Monument For Nothing (Tensai de gomen nasai) exhibition at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo.

3. Explored the extensive Chinese art collection of Taiwan’s National Palace Museum.

4. Caught the Dreams & Reality exhibit at the National Museum in Singapore, featuring masterpieces of painting, drawing and photography from the Musee D’Orsay in Paris.

5. Checked out Artisans d’Angkor, a Cambodian social business that showcases Khmer workmanship—from stone and wood carving, to lacquer ware, silk production, silver plating, and silk painting.
